I, Hans Knud Christensen, a naturalized and loyal citizen of the United States, hereby apply to the Department of State, at Washington, for a passport.
I solemnly swear that I was born at Randers Denmark on January 28, 1875; that my father Søren Christensen was born in Denmark, reciding at: Diseaced; that I emigrated to the United States, sailing from Copenhagen Denmark about Oct. 1896; that I resided 27 years, uninterruptedly, in the United States, from 1896 to 1923 at Ft. Aktinson Wic, and Cauton Ohio; that I was naturalized as a citizen of the United States before the Circuit Court of Jefferson County at ?? Wisconsin. (Stamped Certificate of natualization seen), and that I am domiciled in the United States, my permanent residence being at ?? Atkinson in the State of Wisconsin, where I folloe the occupation of Manufacturing.
I am about to go abroad temporarily, and intend to return to the United States withein one year with the purpose of residing and performing the duties of citizenship therein; and I desire a passport for use in visiting the countries hereinafter named for the following purpose:

Germany
I intend to leave the United States from the port of New York sailing on board the Oscar II (name of vessel) on July 12, 1923.

Further, I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion: So help me God.
